The U.S. Department of Commerce Bureau of Industry and Security (“BIS”), together with the U.S. Department of the Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control (“OFAC”), administers and enforces export controls and sanctions compliance laws and regulations, including the Export Administration Regulation (“EAR”) and OFAC’s various trade and economic sanctions regulations.
