This position
As a Software Engineer on the DevOps team, you will help build and enhance DevOps capabilities at DocuSign. Our team’s charter is to reduce the friction involved in going from idea to reliable feature. As a DevOps engineer you will be responsible for integrating various development tools (e.g. Git, Jenkins, Kubernetes), writing scripts to automate repetitive tasks, and some end user tool development. You will be working in a small, focused scrum team obsessed with reducing waste, increasing visibility, and increasing DocuSign’s ability to release quality software.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to Senior Manager, DevOps Engineering and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of 3rd party systems acquired for development as well as design and development of extensions to those 3rd party systems
• Install, maintain and extend both commercial and open source software packages
• Collect requirements, document and present designs and architectures for extensions and ancillary tools to those systems
• Develop advanced scripting modules for manipulating infrastructure, reduce the complexity for admin scripts while increasing quality and reliability
• Assist in monitoring, problem-solving and issue resolution of infrastructure components
• Monitor for system alerts and provide hands on resolution of incidents
• Work with members of the DevOps team to evaluate, improve, and automate infrastructure components
• Work closely with the security team to ensure the remediation of reported security vulnerabilities

Basic qualifications

• BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
• 2+ years industry experience
• 2+ years development experience in a scripting or compiled language such as Python, Ruby, JavaScript, PowerShell, Go, C#, etc.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix and Windows systems
• Familiarity with Linux and Windows web servers
• Experience in working in an agile development environment

Preferred qualifications

• Experience with Jenkins or similar CI/CD tooling
• Experience with configuration management technologies (Chef, Puppet, Ansible…)
• Experience with Cloud, Virtual and Container technologies (AWS, Azure, Docker, OpenStack, Kubernetes …)
• Excellent problem-solving skills
• Curiosity and ability to learn new technologies and tool sets

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $93,700 - $128,875 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits at https://www.docusign.com/company/benefits.
