The team
Our Sales & Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the DocuSign Agreement Cloud to transform the entire system of agreement process—from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing contracts and other types of agreements. Our team partners with some of the largest, most innovative companies in the world in dozens of industries to bring the power of DocuSign to more customers. Whether you are selling to a small business or a large enterprise, you will apply your extensive knowledge of our solutions, and leverage our strategic partnerships to help our customers grow their top and bottom line.

This position
The Partner Alliance Manager is a highly motivated self-starter who is responsible for developing new business or expanding our footprint in current Salesforce or DocuSign customers in an assigned territory. A successful Partner Alliance Manager is eager to learn, determined to adapt quickly, and comfortable with some ambiguity. Partner Alliance Managers are focused on building field relationships between DocuSign and Salesforce field teams to enable selling additional use cases, products and services into existing and new accounts by leveraging DocuSign’s partnership with Salesforce. This person is accountable for aligning and enabling field teams, driving referral/sales collaboration with internal teams and one of DocuSign’s most strategic partners.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Head of Salesforce and CLM partnerships and is designated as Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Global Partner Team leader and partner enablement on executing field strategy with one of DocuSign’s most strategic partners
  • Identify and develop relationships to establish ongoing business-based, field-level partnerships to create sustainable revenue stream and enable Account Executives to close business
  • Enable and educate Salesforce sales leaders & field teams on joint DocuSign & Salesforce value proposition
  • Work closely with the GTMX team (Marketing, Sales, Product Marketing, Demand Generation) to execute relevant sales plays with Salesforce and drive field alignment efforts (enablement, campaigns, prospecting)
  • Create new leads from prospecting efforts within the assigned sales territory with Salesforce
  • Drive sales campaigns in-geo to create opportunities and long-term revenue growth
  • Develop and execute Salesforce focused sales plans and cycles focused on both new business and existing customers
  • Understand how Salesforce’s business strategy aligns with the capabilities of the DocuSign Agreement Cloud
  • Runs customer-facing and partner-facing events to drive joint pipeline and sales
  • Communicates execution strategy to Partner Field Sales and DocuSign Field Sales
  • Travel to partner locations as necessary, onsite meetings, applicable joint trade-show venues, up to 30%

Basic qualifications

  • 5+ years of demonstrated success selling or promoting software technology solutions in sales or a business development role
  • Bachelor’s Degree

Preferred qualifications

  • 7+ years prior experience with full life-cycle software and/or services selling into a Salesforce partner ecosystem
  • Prior experience with Cloud-based SaaS solutions ideal
  • Demonstrated success in over-achieving targets (top 10-20% of company) in past positions
  • Working knowledge of the software and application development processes
  • Willingness to work well as part of an extended sales team
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills including attention to detail and reporting accuracy
  • Willingness to travel 30% or more as needed
