This position
The Partner Solution Engineer will support partners to make DocuSign Japan business grow by helping to provide technical and consulting knowledge on DocuSign solutions. This position will be based in Tokyo and may require travel to meet customers and partners in a remote city.

From an externally facing (incl. partners) perspective, this Solution Engineer is a critical DocuSign representative. Confidence and trust begin with the Solution Engineer. In many regards, the Solution Engineer has to effectively “proxy” the experience and expertise of numerous key teams within the DocuSign organization.

From an internally facing perspective, the Solution Engineer is a key liaison to numerous teams, including (but not limited to) those mentioned above.

This position is an Individual Contributor and reports to the Solution Engineering Director in DocuSign Japan.

Responsibilities

  • Build relationships with key partner base and their pre-sales resources
  • Provide training, enablement and support of partners on DocuSign product, integration and best practices
  • Mentor, assist and enable partners on their pre-sales engagements
  • Articulate the DocuSign company vision, key business messages and business value of DocuSign solutions to new and existing Japan customers with partners
  • Create innovative DocuSign solutions that resolve customer business challenges and pains with partners
  • Have command of the DocuSign platform, including all current and future features
  • Work closely with internal resources to ensure timely partner’s delivery of solutions to customers
  • Assist in the winning of customer opportunities through active engagement with partners
  • Exhibit strong understanding of core technologies used within the DocuSign platform, the systems we integrate with and the methods/APIs used during integration
  • Respond to RFPs and RFIs through partner
  • Attend industry and partner event in Japan and make present / demo of DocuSign’s solutions
  • Deliver trusted, long-term, high ROI solutions.

Basic Qualifications

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent in relevant work experience
  • 5+ years SaaS/application software experience with comfort in SaaS solutions, concepts, and business models
  • Experience as a Technical Consultant / Technical Support / Pre-Sales / Sales Engineer OR as a Technical Account Manager
  • Proven experience doing presentations over Web conference and In-Person to customers
  • Proven experience working with employees at all levels of an organization
  • Experience giving software demonstrations
  • Proven experience with technical business documentation like workflow diagrams and proposals, SOWs, RFPs and RFIs, etc.
  • Familiarity with Enterprise-class software systems like ERP, CRM and ECM systems
  • Familiarity with SaaS solutions, concepts, and business models
  • Communication skills: Native level of Japanese and intermediate level (reading/written/spoken) of English

Preferred Qualifications

  • Proven experience of software system configuration, integration with third party application, development of application (for PoC) and equivalent experience
  • Proven experience of Web base system/application runs on IaaS/PaaS
  • Familiarity with system integration methods such as web services, SOAP APIs & REST APIs
  • Familiarity with HTML, XML, and structured data
  • Familiarity with Internet Networking and Security for internet, application, OS and database
  • Familiarity with X.509 PKI and encryption technology
  • Masterful in delivering software demonstrations, whether in-person, or via web presentation.
  • Proven Capacity to work on cross-functional projects
  • Proven ability to influence senior leadership
  • Familiarity with electronic signature
