This position
DocuSign is seeking a Lead Technical Program Manager on the Technical Operations team to support site reliability, service infrastructure and security & compliance initiatives. This position requires a depth of technical experience working with highly available environments and complex system architectures, as well as bold resourcefulness and high energy to drive projects to on-time completeness. To be successful in this position, the candidate must be self-directed and self-motivated, yet capable of taking instruction and feedback. The candidate can handle every phase in the program's life cycle, from the very beginning idea phases all the way to the closure or post-closure monitoring phases. This role will interface with several teams on wide ranging projects requiring clear communication and strong organization skills.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Director, Tech Ops Program Management is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with Network, Compute, Storage, Architecture, Live-Site, DevOps, Security, Compliance and other engineering and operations teams to drive priorities across functions to meet project timelines
  • Be responsible for the initiation of programs, from strategy creation to execution to delivery to completion while monitoring and reporting their status to stakeholders and all involved parties throughout the program's lifecycle
  • Maintain expert knowledge of DocuSign products/services, industry/regulatory standards, Vulnerability Management requirements and assessments
  • Align with the Trust & Security initiatives that drive scale and operational excellence
  • Drive documentation and remediation of 3rd party compliance audit findings and security vulnerabilities by working with various internal and external teams
  • Maintain strong relationships based on trust and transparency with primary stakeholders
  • Negotiate appropriate trade-offs and ensure clear accountability, targets, timelines and deliverables for each major initiative
  • Manage many competing high-priority tasks ensuring that work is being completed where necessary, when necessary
  • Identify and drive projects to improve automation in the TechOps organization, whether through code automation or education
  • Work with various engineering teams, influence and get buy-ins in various situations, make strategic decisions, and be able to get the team's trust
  • Assist in troubleshooting a variety of issues across software and hardware deployed globally in DocuSign data centers
  • Work towards making process improvements in our scaled agile environment

Basic qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree
  • 12+ years relevant experience as a Technical Program Manager, Support, Operations or Systems Administration role
  • Ability to communicate complex technical ideas/solutions to both technical and non-technical members
  • Experience organizing cross-functional technical teams to drive solutions of complex issues

Preferred qualifications

  • Knowledge of Active Directory, Group Policy, Security Policy configuration and maintenance
  • Understanding of enterprise network infrastructure and OSI model
  • Experience using business applications such as Jira and Confluence, Google Workspace applications
  • Experience in alignment of Vulnerability Management processes with on-prem and cloud platforms
  • Experience in establishing and managing technical compliance programs for FedRAMP, IL4, PCI, SOC 1/2.
  • Excellent communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Experience writing technical documentation
  • Ability to coordinate tasks across functional groups, manage cross-functional projects to completion, communicate and coordinate with a wide variety of individuals and teams
  • Natural aptitude for both teaching and learning from others in a collaborative team environment
