The team
Our Sales & Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the DocuSign Agreement Cloud to transform the entire system of agreement process—from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing contracts and other types of agreements. Our teams’ partner with some of the largest most innovative companies in the world in dozens of industries to bring the power of DocuSign to more customers. This position
As a Senior Sales Manager, you will influence and lead a team of strategic hunter New Co Account Executives for the DACH Mid-Market to achieve their individual sales quotas by assisting and guiding in winning new logos and closing large and complex deals.
You will be able to measure, monitor and hold AE's accountable for their activities and results as well as lead by example.
You will mentor each AE individually while also building a strong cohesive, collaborative team. As a leader, you are responsible for monitoring forecasting efforts, customer satisfaction, churn and delivering on quota.
Responsibilities
- Managing a team of specialised Account Executives to grow the overall revenue of the DocuSign Agreement Cloud offering within Professional Services through attainment of monthly quotas
- Assess sales pipeline, activity & forecasts to determine sales progress & areas for refinement/improvement of large multifaceted deals.
- Devise account strategies: assist team to develop and maintain multi-year strategic account plans for new key accounts and to exceed customer objectives and DocuSign’s sales goals.
- Influence and lead strategic planning efforts within team to ensure Key Account requirements are represented.
- Performance management: creating a bench of qualified talent, and growing the team headcount as needed
- Maintain positive and proactive line of communication between the lines of business as well as senior leadership; includes developing and delivering accurate forecast and attainment details during weekly and quarterly business reviews
- Identify & support opportunities for training as well as career diversification and growth across the team
Basic Qualifications.
- Extensive leadership experience managing tactical sales teams within software, ideally SaaS-based offerings
- Expertise in product, technology, service, strategy, and business complexities
- Prior experience selling software, running complex sales cycles, in a quota-carrying role
- BA/BS from an accredited college or university
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience selling into Professional Services – knowledge of buying cycles and key stakeholders
- Quota-attainment record of meeting and/or exceeding targets by managing process for identifying, qualifying, & closing new business as well as and not limited to growing an existing install base
- Prior experience developing and maintaining business, sales, & market plans as well as negotiating & closing complex deals
- Ability to drive strategic and tactical planning
- Experience selling into and cultivating larger, strategic relationships
- Capacity to work on cross-functional projects and teams as needed as well as leverage internal resources to problem-solve
- Track record of building, coaching and enabling a growing team
- Strong verbal and written communication skills – includes excellent reporting and forecasting skills. Attention to detail is critical
- Fluency in German and English
- Willingness to travel 20% or more as needed
