This position
DocuSign is looking for a software engineer to join our infrastructure team focused on building scalable, highly-available, fault-tolerant, reliable distributed storage systems. The Storage team @ DocuSign develops critical back-end services from the ground-up that service hundreds of thousands of transactions per second, with millisecond response times measured in the single digits. We design and implement solutions for everything from relational database scale-out scaffolding, to document storage, to NoSQL storage, to message queueing, and more. We are tackling the challenge of ensuring our in-house storage solutions will scale to the next 10X+, while in parallel making sure the needs of our internal customers are met, as the company executes against our Agreement Cloud vision. This position is an Individual Contributor and reports to the Senior Manager - Engineering, Storage Systems and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

• Build and design new highly available fault-tolerant infrastructure components where needed
• Extend our existing in-house storage solutions to meet our 10X+ scale needs
• Extend our existing in-house storage solutions to meet the needs of our internal customers
• Partner with internal teams to aid in consumption of the services we build
• Code solutions to challenging technical problems
• Analyze and improve efficiency, reliability, and scalability of core services
• Participate in live-site investigations as they occur

Basic qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s degree or Master's Degree
• BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineer or equivalent
• Experience in C# or Java, C++, or other object oriented programming language
• This role is not eligible for OPT or sponsorship now or in the future

Preferred qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Stack (C#, SQL Server)
• Knowledge of operating system internals, database internals and file systems
• A willingness to code in C#
• Interested in building large-scale, high scale, highly available (99.99+) fault-tolerant, reliable applications
• Proficiency and interest in working with algorithms, data structures and production troubleshooting
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
