The team
Our Sales & Business Development teams collaborate with customers and partners across the globe to help them leverage the DocuSign Agreement Cloud to transform the entire system of agreement process—from preparing to signing, acting on, and managing contracts and other types of agreements. Our team partners with some of the largest, most innovative companies in the world in dozens of industries to bring the power of DocuSign to more customers. Whether you are selling to a small business or a large enterprise, you will apply your extensive knowledge of our solutions, and leverage our strategic partnerships to help our customers grow their top and bottom line.
This position
The Sr. Communications Manager is responsible for leading, developing, and communicating strategic programs in the Global Sales organization, with a primary focus on communication strategy and execution for North America Sales.
This position reports to the Sr. Director of Global Sales Communication and sits in the Sales organization at DocuSign.
Responsibilities
- Working cross-functionally, create communication strategies and plans for the organization, including:
- Developing a communication framework to support best practice communication into the sales organization to address messaging, timing, cadence, channel, voice, prioritization
- Support communication cadence for meetings including all-hands and leadership forums
- Communication channel development including creating and managing content
- Program manage the cadence and agendas, along with speaker / content preparation for various Sales meetings
- Support key growth initiatives and organizational priorities by serving as the communication program subject matter expert
- Develop and write messages, own content strategy, and create presentation decks
- Own and execute plans cross-functionally and with key executives
- Help support executive communication program - develop executive’s voice and brand, including key messages, tone, on-going coaching
- Own content creation and design execution for GVPs and other leaders in the organization for presentations including at the annual Global Sales Kick-Off, global sales all-hands and leadership summits, and company meetings.
- Identify key meetings, team roundtables, all-hands and informal Town Halls to address the needs of both the executive team, the field and key initiatives across DocuSign impacting the field
- Understand the DocuSign business so that sales communication supports the overall strategies and focus on successful achievement of goals
- Become a trusted advisor to senior leaders to help influence and support change
- Measure effectiveness of communication goals using variety of methods including influencer 1:1s, focus groups and surveys
- Support Sr. Director, Global Sales Communication working with other senior sales leaders, creating and sharing best practices, and supporting global sales all-hands and other meetings
- Determine other communication needs in partnership with Sr. Director, Global Sales Communication
- Help innovate the communication function at DocuSign and within the Global Sales organization
Basic qualifications
- BA/BS degree from four-year college
- 8+ years of work experience in crafting compelling positioning, presentations and thought leadership content for executives
- Experience working with and influencing senior leaders
Preferred qualifications
- Strong writing ability and experience writing internal messages, blog posts/articles, talk tracks across different mediums and platforms, including social media and professional networks (I.e. LinkedIn)
- Exceptional written and oral communications skills and grammar
- Knowledge of Google suite applications, as well as PowerPoint, Microsoft Office Suite
- Track record collaborating across all levels of the organization
- Experience working in a fast-paced tech company environment and comfort with ambiguity and managing multiple stakeholders, projects and conflicting timelines
- Sales organization experience
- Ability to make a decision and move forward with imperfect data and information
- Ability to present ideas and proposals directly and with confidence and poise to interact with executives and senior level groups of people
- Ability and comfort with giving and receiving constructive feedback directly
- Strong relationship-building, project and organizational skills
- Excellent attention to detail while operating with a sense of urgency
- Penchant towards results
- Experienced at influencing senior leaders
- Flexible workstyle and grace and humor under pressure
Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $118,600 - $145,000 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits.
