Our Engineering & Tech Operations team builds and operates complex solutions for global business challenges that cross cultures, legal jurisdictions, and impacts millions of people and businesses every day. We hire people with a broad set of skills and people who want to work on creating never-been-done-before solutions at scale while ensuring world-class reliability and security. Our Agreement Cloud is a revolutionary solution that changes the way people live, work, and come to agreement.

The position
DocuSign is looking for a seasoned software engineering leader to join our infrastructure team focused on building highly scalable, available, and reliable distributed systems. The Engineering Services at DocuSign ensures critical back-end services scale with the company’s continued rapid growth.

This position is a people manager role reporting to the Director of Engineering and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

  • Be the Engineering leader responsible for executing on our product roadmap using agile practices
  • Build and maintain a set of highly scalable, performant and high availability services
  • Work with partner teams to build solutions that meet the needs of many teams
  • Work with the Product Management team to gather requirements and architect the next set of services
  • Improve performance of existing services
  • Be data driven and push for making decisions based on telemetry
  • Help mentor and grow the team

Basic qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on software development experience including 5+ years of leading product engineering teams
  • Extensive experience building and managing a diverse and inclusive team environment with strong commitment to respect, equality, collaboration and teaming
  • Experience in cloud technologies, Docker, and Kubernetes, microservices architecture is a definite plus

Preferred qualifications

  • 5 to 10 years of experience in increasingly responsible roles with at least 3 years of data related leadership within a complex global business environment
  • Experience with Microsoft technology stack (C#, .NET), JSON, HTML, XML.
  • Highly technical, confident at the operational management level and comfortable in an engineering heavy organization
  • Comfortable in a fast paced, rapid growth environment
