This position
In this position you will help build the next generation of DocuSign’s eSignature Collaboration Platform. Your goal would be to help build highly scalable, highly performant and secure services in an environment with 5 9’s availability and bank grade security. You will be part of a team of great engineers focusing on delivering quality products, and services that live directly in the heart of our customer’s workflows. You will be both a leader and a do-er, focusing on various systems problems we have in the company.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Senior Engineering Manager and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

• Architect, implement and maintain some of DocuSign’s highest scale services
• Build the next set of APIs to make DocuSign a true development platform on top of which our customers can build integrations
• Take a data driven approach to discovering root causes of complex problems then lead the implementation of their solutions
• Guide and mentor other engineers through all aspects of the product development lifecycle
• Partner with Product Management and other stakeholders to understand and translate marketing requirements into design requirements and provide estimates for development
• Architect systems for scale, performance, resilience and high availability
• Take complicated problems and break them down in to bite sized pieces, then ship every few weeks to get there
• Work throughout the stack, from network protocols to database performance, front-end and back-end components

Basic qualifications

• 12+ years of software engineering experience in a SaaS organization
• 10+ years of experience building resilient platforms, software as a service, architecture and integration
• Experience designing and developing highly scalable consumer facing web applications
• 1 + years of experience as a technical lead of one or more engineering teams
• B.S., M.S., or PhD in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications

• Experience documenting architectural standards and decisions
• MS Stack (C#, SQL Server, etc.)
• SaaS, or Cloud experience

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $147,800 - $208,775 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits at https://www.docusign.com/company/benefits.
