This position

The Senior Strategy Director - Financial Services (i.e. commercial and institutional banking, wealth management, and insurance) will create, articulate, and continually collaborate to evolve the DocuSign Agreement Cloud strategy cross-functionally within the company as well as across upmarket and enterprise customers in the Financial Services industry. This key strategist will engage in provocative conversations to drive alignment of business and technical architecture for CLM solutions, best-practice solution discussions within implementation and line-of-business teams, and business and technical context within the respective ecosystems.

As a senior leader within our Strategic Services Strategy Group the Senior Strategy Director will collaborate with Sales, Product Marketing and Product Management teams to refine the Agreement Cloud go-to-market messaging, create and carry-out thought leadership content, ensure alignment of our product roadmap with industry needs, and enable our field team to identify and execute upon growth opportunities for the Agreement Cloud with primary focus on Financial Services audiences.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Strategic Services and is designated Remote.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a senior leader on our Strategic Services Strategy team, collaborating with our Sales, Product Marketing and Product Management teams to grow our Agreement Cloud business within the Financial Services market
  • Serve as a thought leader, customer advocate and partner to DocuSign’s most strategic Financial Services customers
  • Participate in Sales cycles to serve as a catalyst for our Agreement Cloud vision in the context of Financial Services for use cases such as customer/partner onboarding, account opening, lending, customer service and compliance
  • Work with Marketing on thought leadership initiatives and align on a differentiated Agreement Cloud narrative and solution blueprints
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional group of stakeholders to develop tangible sales plays and product demonstrations relevant to the Financial Services industry
  • Liaise between customer executives and internal teams at DocuSign
  • Drive cross-functional opportunities for adoption growth
  • Support presence at industry events, both DocuSign and third-party
  • Work with Enablement to refine knowledge and training programs for legal operations
  • Interface with the Product Management Team to define the Agreement Cloud requirements

Basic qualifications

  • BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
  • 15+ years of direct experience in Contract Lifecyle Management and Contract Analytics in Financial Services -- technology and processes, with core competency in agreement processes, digital transformation, operationalizing centers of excellence, and CLM/AI strategy. (Line of business, operations and consulting backgrounds considered)

Preferred qualifications

  • JD, MBA or equivalent
  • Subject matter expertise and familiarity with specialized agreement types, data points and agreement process within Financial Services
  • Experience with or clear aptitude to master complex contract management technologies and contract analytics
  • Definable experience influencing digital transformation, change management, problem resolution, and communicating complex ideas clearly to cross functional groups
  • Excellent written communication skills, including capability to develop and execute thought leadership assets
  • Excellent cross-functional collaborator and strategic thinker
  • Ability to demonstrate experience managing complex sales problems in a fast growing, dynamic environment supporting multiple levels of leadership
  • Ability to advise customers, partners, and internal team on implementation strategies both at the project level and for overall best practices
  • Capable of building, implementing, and monitoring sales methodologies, processes and policies
  • Willingness to travel as necessary
