This position
As a Senior Software Engineer on the Developer Experience team, you will be responsible for building and maintaining highly visible applications that are integral to our customers and business. Our team has a startup-like atmosphere that is self-driven, passionate, and creates quality applications and tools which are critical to driving the success of DocuSign APIs globally with our fast growing developer community. To be successful, a candidate will need to have a flexible attitude combined with an aptitude to learn and share. This position demands critical thinking skills and the ability to understand existing systems while working in a fast-paced, agile environment. The right candidate cares about the product and has a focus on quality driven development.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Director, Engineering and is designated Flex.

Responsibilities

• Write high quality, shippable code across the stack that is easy to maintain and test
• Create and maintain open-source code for various programming languages
• Develop a deep understanding of various applications to perform comprehensive root cause analysis
• Research new features and technologies
• Think about how to solve problems at scale and build fault tolerant systems
• Drive design, implementation, testing and release of products

Basic qualifications

• 8+ years experience as a software engineer
• 6+ years professional experience building complex, scalable web and database applications
• Experience with Node.js (strongly preferred), C#, PHP, Ruby, Python or any modern programming language
• Experience building/consuming RESTful web-services
• Experience with one or more JavaScript frameworks like Angular, React, JQuery, Backbone, etc.
• Experience with CSS, AJAX, JSON, HTML, and/or MVC
• Experience with Git, CI and deployment tools
• B.S., or M.S. in Computer Science or equivalent experience

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge and experience in high scale, highly available systems
• Experience with the design and operation of large scale cloud services
• Experience in Agile and Test-driven development methodologies
• Ability and desire to move across technology stacks fluently and easily
• Passion for working on a highly available site
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-moving environment, prioritize your work and manage your own time
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the willingness and ability to rapidly learn new technologies and tool sets

Based on Colorado law, the following details are for Colorado individuals only: Colorado base salary range: $148,800 - $184,800 and eligible for bonus, equity and benefits at https://www.docusign.com/company/benefits.
