Our Sign Engineering team builds and operates our market leading eSignature products, as well as adjacent or new products in the areas of Consent Management, Digital Transaction Rooms, Live Assisted Agreements and Remote Notarization. We are seeking a hands-on Distinguished Engineer to drive critical projects and help define the next-generation architecture for our services. This individual will be responsible to help drive innovation across our product suite, set technical direction and impact all our products and the underlying technologies.

The Distinguished Engineer title is a recognition of the highest engineering achievements and impact at DocuSign and as such is limited to very few individuals. This position is a rare new addition to this elite cadre of engineers.

This position reports to the Group Vice President, Sign

Responsibilities

• Drive the technical direction of DocuSign products
• Lead key strategic engineering projects across our product suite via hands on contributions to architecture and code
• Design and develop internet scale systems
• Mentor teams of engineers delivering new product / platform capabilities or engineering POCs

Basic Qualifications

• 15+ years industry experience in Software Engineering
• 10+ years building resilient platforms, software as a service, architecture and integrations
• 5+ years of Experience Serving as a Technical Lead or Manager
• Experience developing, promoting and building consensus around architecture for product and platform teams.
• Demonstrated ability to document architectural standards and decisions

Preferred Qualifications

• C++, C# and .Net experience
• BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science, preferred
• Prior experience aligning platform architecture with security, data
• Demonstrated ability to document architectural standards and decisions
• SaaS or high scale cloud experience
