Developer Spotlight: Burraque Khattak, Payload

Burraque Khattak was always interested in computers growing up. Earning his bachelor’s degree in computer science from Queens College, he gained a love for Python programming while completing an internship in his junior year for Zeel, a national provider of in-home massage and physical therapy. Since November 2019, he’s worked as a software engineer for Payload, a provider of payment processing software, as a member of the team building robust integrations into the company’s real estate platform.

“DocuSign was one of my favorite integrations,” reports Burraque. Burraque’s project integrated DocuSign eSignature functionality via the REST API into the Payload real estate platform, which enables real estate agents to send their property buyers requests for earnest money payments. This enabled Payload to digitize the earnest money process and save their real estate customers time and money on each property transaction.
